Steffi, resident spinner at Berlin’s Panorama Bar, officially launches debut album Yours & Mine at Trouw in Amsterdam on February 26.
The long-player, released on Berghain’s Ostgut Ton label earlier this month, pretty much doubles the size of Steffi’s discography. Anchored to soulful, old school house vibes (recorded, of course, with a ‘contemporary’ set-up) it has stirred debate, some scene commentators expecting a tougher sonic backbone.
Steffi’s launch party should provide that without question; she plays alongside Ostgut’s tech-driven Marcel Fengler and Trouw resident Sandrien. There are also appearances from Brazilian singer Virginia Nascimento, who features on Yours & Mine, and Dexter, an artist on Steffi’s own Klakson and Dolly imprints.
