To coincide with the release of the full remix package of Storm Queen’s ‘Look Right Through’, we are excited to announce details of our competition to create the official music video for the single with the overall winner also landing £2,000 in prize money.
Having produced some of the most memorable dance records of all time as Metro Area, Morgan Geist’s new alias as Storm Queen was launched to predictably rapturous applause last year with debut single ‘Look Right Through’; a hauntingly heartfelt ballad that transcends genres and was voted Track of the Year by renowned music site DJHistory. The track was picked up this year by Defected Records who are soon to deliver a huge remix package from some of the biggest names in the game, including reimaginings by Aeroplane, Jamie Jones, Dimitri from Paris and Art Department.
To celebrate both the remixes and the untempered brilliance of the original, we’re giving you the chance to create the official music video for ‘Look Right Through’.
The emotive and highly personal story that unfolds throughout the song will hopefully bring out the best in the thousands of highly creative film makers whose talents are yet to be recognised, and we are extremely happy to be able to present you with this opportunity.
In addition to the £2,000 main prize, the winner will also win a copy of FXHome's HitFilm Ultimate video editing software (worth £285), combining video editing, advanced compositing in 2D and 3D and visual effects for the first time. The closing date for the competition is Monday 3rd October 2011. Any entries that are sent after this date will not be considered for the prize.
The winning entry will be announced on Friday 14th of October with the four runners-up revealed in the week leading up to this date.
