The people at Strut Records are prepping a double-disc retrospective of revered New York label Celluloid Records.
Change The Beat: The Celluloid Story 1980-1987 will drop on February 19, 2013.
The label was founded by Jean Karakos, who moved from France to New York in the late 70s discovering a world of underground dance music.
Karakos released tracks from Bill Laswell's post-punk outfit Material, as well as selections from the likes of Fab 5 Freddy, Time Zone (which featured Afrika Bambaataa), Ginger Baker and the Last Poets.
