House music’s all conquering trio of Steve Angello, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso have announced, by press release and online viral, that they will be playing Miami next March, but outside of the official Conference dates.
Quite a way outside – the boys hit Miami on March 26, playing a whopping 10-hour DJ set as the only acts on the bill at their very own one-off party. The event, like Swedish House Mafia’s last Miami foray earlier this autumn, is housed in a custom-built venue, the Masquerade Motel.
There is no word yet on whether the Mafiosos will attend the Winter Music Conference (March 8-12) as well, but judging by recent social media banter it seems unlikely. Steve Angello’s recent Tweets include: “If you want to experience all the good parties in Miami, don’t go March 8-12” and “let’s rebel the wmc [sic] dates.”
