The Las Vegas Convention And Visitors Authority (LVCVA) launches a new international DJ competition later this month as part of its ongoing campaign to position Las Vegas as a major player on the global electronic dance map.
The Vegas Spin-Off ‘World DJ’ competition requires entrants to ‘remix’ a favourite track with their finest turntable skills before August 29. The public then votes between August 30 and September 6, its top two choices making a live final alongside five picks by special big-name judges (yet to be announced).
The final takes place at a ‘legendary’ Vegas club September 20. The overall winner stands to win thousands of pounds’ worth of in-house recording equipment, PUMA footwear and other accessories. They also scoop a guest residency at another major Vegas nightspot.
