Revered Berlin DJ-producer Thomas Schumacher will release his third solo album early next month.

Stand Up promises trademark tech-house but with deeper tones evident on tracks like Wolf and Warehouse, breakbeats driving cut Electric Ballroom (named after Schumacher’s relatively new label, upon which Stand Up appears) and vintage Henry Street house groove tied to What You Wanna Shake.

Schumacher made his breakthrough back in 1997 with single When I Rock (released on cult Manchester techno label Bush) before setting up and releasing material via his own imprint Spiel-Zeug Schallplatten, including albums Electric Avenue and Home.  Over the last few years, Schumacher has released regularly on Get Physical (as both solo artist and member of Electrochemie), as well as produced for Noir Music, and remixed everyone from Hell and DJ T to Jimmy Somerville and Frankie Goes To Hollywood.

Schumacher has already released Every Little Piece (featuring Electrochemie vocalist Caitlin Devlin) as his album’s lead single, featuring remixes by Simian Mobile Disco and Hot Since ’82.  Stand Up follows April 5 (on Beatport) and May 3 (rest of the world).
