Progressive super-DJ and producer Timo Maas is mix-master for the latest instalment of the prominent Balance compilation series, out later this autumn.
Balance 017 spans two discs, allowing Maas to offer deeper, downbeat favourites (tracks he wouldn’t normally play out) alongside his usual trademark tech ‘n’ progressive. There are 40 tunes in total, material by everyone from Carl Craig, Deetron, Kenny Larkin, Wolf + Lamb’s teen wunder-kid Nicolas Jaar and Maas himself. It’s Mass’ first comp in seven years.
Previous Balance albums have been fronted by Agoria and Joris Voorn; Balance 017 is preceded by an EP of four tunes taken from it, including Mutant Clan’s Arcadia.
Timo Mass’ Balance 017 is released through Balance Music on October 8.
