Dirtybird don Claude VonStroke is to release a remix version of his latest album Urban Animal.
The long-player, VonStroke’s third, was released last September and offered a trademark mix of punchy house beats and bold, party hearty production, not to mention forays into dubstep and drum & bass. Following that, the artist asked a variety of friends to remix key tracks, which are now being released together as a new album.
Urban Animal RMXS features house re-rubs from the likes of Tanner Ross and Solomun, tech-y fare via Jimmy Edgar and Dixon, downbeat hip-hop from Eeprom and drum & bass upgrades by Photek and DJ Krust. Mr VonStroke – real name Barclay Crenshaw - also weighs in with a new remix of Can’t Wait.
