Bloc Party, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, The Chemical Brothers and Magnetic Man are just some of the names now confirmed for this year’s autumnal Warehouse Project season.
The range of performers is wider and more exciting than ever. Proceedings kick off September 28-29 with the previously announced Rinse FM 18th anniversary party (featuring Katy B, Skream and Diplo) and Welcome To The Warehouse follow-up (presenting Nicolas Jaar, Seth Troxler and Heidi). Beyond that Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox and Loco Dice play October 5; SBTRKT curates his own evening with support from Four Tet and Caribou, October 6; Bugged Out! hosts Boys Noize, Paul Kalkbrenner and Curtis Jones (as both Green Velvet and Cajmere), October 12; Mark Ronson, David Rodigan and DJ Jazzy Jeff perform October 13; Bloc Party headline October 19; and Paul Van Dyk and Armin Van Burren go totally epic October 20.
Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs throw a special Hallowe’en shindig on October 26 with special guests Derrick Carter, John Talabot and Todd Terje; Cocoon Recordings takes over November 2 (featuring Sven Vath, Ricardo Villalobos, Cassy, Adam Beyer and Dinky); and Chase & Status, DJ Fresh and Skream & Benga help popular local promoter Metropolis celebrates 10 years, November 3.
Animal Collective and Prince Rama play November 8, the ever eclectic Martyn and Flying Lotus November 9 and Laidback Luke November 10. Cult drum & bass night Hospitality (via Hospital Records) tools up for November 23 (featuring Andy C, High Contrast and Danny Byrd); Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations crew arrives November 24 (with Carl Craig, Kerri Chandler, Heidi and Maceo Plex); Annie Mac presents Magnetic Man, Justice and Claude VonStroke November 30; Resident Advisor throws an event December 1, helmed by Orbital, Julio Bashmore, Modeselektor, Chris Liebing and Marcel Dettmann; and The Chemical Brothers headline December 8 - support from Maya Jane Coles and Andrew Weatherall.
That leaves Pete Tong’s All Gone Pete Tong bash December 14, Tong playing alongside Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx and US house legend Todd Edwards; the Crosstown Rebels roll in on December 15, founder Damian Lazarus involving everyone from Maceo Plex and Art Department to Deniz Kurtel and Amirali; and Laurent Garnier marks 25 years on the dancefloor with an extra-special birthday extravaganza. Details surrounding the Warehouse Project’s customary New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day closing parties should be confirmed in the coming weeks.
