The new documentary explores the unique journey of Zach Witness, from club dancer and Dallas boogie DJ, to producer for the stars, and now the artist himself.

Dallas-born, London-based multi-disciplinary artist Zach Witness is ready to be known for his striking and artistic solo work, following the release Defected debut single ‘Can’t Get It Out Of My Head’ in February this year, he now reveals The Dance of Zach Witness, a striking documentary telling his compelling story. With the 10-minute documentary split into seven parts, Genesis, The DJ, Heroes, Sexuality, Being Effortless, God and The Artist this short film delves into Zach’s rich past, from his days as a DJ in the Dallas Boogie scene, to working with Erykah Badu, through to his own journey of self-discovery.

“’The Dance of Zach Witness' is the bottling of a romantic aromatic moment in time. I was living in Paris when we shot it. My heart was full and my eyes wide open. It was the perfect time to speak about life. We pursued Montmartre pavements for hours looking for the right shot. It wasn't until I placed my hands upon the lucky bronze bust of a Dalida statue that we found our shot and my words began to flow.

I'm sure my thoughts would be different had we chosen even the day after to shoot, but it was all in flow. Watching it back now, it seems my life is a peculiar kaleidoscope of happenings.
