Global hip-hoppers Black Eyed Peas won't be too happy if Brit breakbeat DJ Adam Freeland decides to follow-up on his recent Twitterings.
Freeland, whose current, well received album Cope features guest spots from Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee and The Pixies’ Joey Santiago, has let rip on Twitter claiming that the Black Eyed Peas are responsible for snatching beats from his track Mancry for song Party All The Time, which features on their latest long-player The E.N.D.
Freeland, who rose rapidly to fame in the late 90s with seminal breakbeat albums Coastal Breaks Vol 1 & 2, types (furiously no doubt…): “OK. Check this. Listen to our song Mancry. Now listen to Black Eyed Peas’ Party All The Time. WTF!”
No legal proceedings have been filed as this stage, but it wouldn’t be the first time Black Eyed producer Will.i.am has been accused of studio-sampling shenanigans. In 2007, he was forced to can an audio snippet from Daft Punk anthem Around The World on song I Got It From My Momma by the Gallic duo’s lawyers.
