Stay True Sounds continues to tell the story of Blackwhole's seminal record ‘1000 Seconds’ with a fresh remix from Jullian Gomes. Re-released by Stay True Sounds back in November 2024, the 2007 staple was given a new lease of life, introducing the original ‘1000 Seconds’ to brand new audiences across SA, the UK and globally, then accompanied by a remix from leader of the genre Atmos Blaq. The record’s story was spread further by Stay True Sounds mini-documentary The Biggest Record You’ve Never Heard Of, in which many acclaimed SA producers and DJs chronicle the record including Kid Fonque, DJ Christos, Vinny Da Vinci, Glen Lewis, Mörda, Oskido, and Mr. Cee from Blackwhole. Jullian Gomes also features in the documentary, illustrating what the timeless track means to him: ‘it’s a very special piece of music to me’. Growing up inspired by ‘1000 Seconds’, Gomes now presents his deep house perspective, delivering a hypnotic and euphoric remix that plays with build and release through production expertise.
