Electronic artist and DJ Kiddy Smile returns to Glitterbox with a striking house record, ‘Spank’. A former radio resident for nightlife phenomenon Glitterbox, the French artist previously appeared on the label side with remixes of his Defected hits ‘Let A Bitch Know’ and ‘Teardrops In A Box’, with the first remixed by fellow selector and fashion maverick Honey Dijon. Since then, Kiddy Smile continues to be a fierce advocate for electronic artists on the fringe of society, pushing boundaries of gender, class, and race when performing at the presidential Élysée Palace in 2018, all the way to representing France at the Paris Paralympics Closing Ceremony in 2024. With a sound inspired by Chicago house, his latest release, ‘Spank’, was produced alongside visionary artist Zach Witness; Kiddy delivers his signature, tough spoken-word vocals over joyous house beats and flavourful synths, with ‘Spank’ arriving at the height of summer to unite dancefloors in unbridled ecstasy.
