Grimy Detroit house producer Claude VonStroke is all set to release an album of classic remixes on his own infamous Dirtybird imprint.
Makeovers features everything from VonStroke’s early remix of Poxy Music’s Warpaint to recent Girl Unit revamp Wut; in between are meaty dancefloor takes on Andy Caldwell, Cajmere (the mighty Percolator) and Kenny Larkin.
VonStroke has risen off the back of his vintage productions for Dirtybird including Deep Throat and Who’s Afraid Of Detroit? His constantly evolving CV also features two artist albums, a well received Fabrix mix CD, splinter-imprint Mothership and countless global club and festival shows – his outdoor parties in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park have become the stuff of legend.
Makeovers is released July 27.
