Fast-rising Russian DJ and producer Denis A (previously interviewed here…) will launch label DAR Digital later this month with atmospheric techno tracks by young, local talent including Igor Cold, Gvozdini (actually Ukrainian) and Responz.
Denis already operates vinyl and digital imprint DAR, which boasts hefty support from John Digweed, Danny Tengalia, Nick Muir and Tiesto. His new digital set-up, however, should allow him to release material more quickly and regularly.
DAR Digital isn’t Denis’ only new imprint either. March welcomes the arrival of RA:DAR, a sub-label focused on the deeper, purer strands of house and techno. Denis will co-run RA:DAR alongside compatriots Dr.Spy.Der and Nikitin (of Nikitin & Semikashev fame.)
Meanwhile, he continues to run his influential DAR Sessions night at Moscow club Discoteque (previous guests include Timo Maas, Blake Baxter and Digweed) – a night that teams up with Bedrock on March 7 and returns to Ibiza this summer; last year, of course, Denis was a high-profile Amnesia resident.
