Self-proclaimed ‘slam jacker’ Legowelt (AKA Danny Wolfers) will release a new album this spring, Crystal Cult 2080.
The title refers to the two main studio components used to record the work – a second hand digital Roland JV2080 synth Wolfers picked up in Japan, and a ‘DIY germanium crystal compressor’. Crystal Cult 2080 is Legowelt’s 10th artist album, following last year’s mini album Gilga 1 and, in 2012, The Paranormal Soul – the last full-length Legowelt collection. The new record supposedly offers a deeper, darker synth-led ambience, and will be made available via digital, double-vinyl, CD and limited edition cassette (featuring a selection of album tracks on the A-side, and a special mix by Creme Organization boss DJ TLR on the flip).
Legowelt releases Crystal Cult 2080 via Creme Organization in late March, date TBA.
