Highly eclectic electronic artist Santos releases his debut album on Osunlade's Yoruba Records.

Santos emerged from break dancing scene in the early 80s in his hometown of New York, with the musical power of the hip-hop dance movement encouraging him to explore all forms of music. With an insatiable desire to expand his knowledge of the technical side of the industry he pursued and attained an associates degree from DeVry Technical Institute in computer engineering. 

By 1999 Santos had produced an E.P. which Poji Records. This Baltimore label licensed Sunshine and established him a viable force in the house music Scene. While shopping his first production to Tommy Mutso in 2000 he caught the attention of Osunlade, CEO of Yoruba Records. 

In 2001 His production of Que Vive El Canto was released on Yoruba Records after catchin the attention of Osulande, and later licensed by Phil Asher for the Jazz in the House series on Slip & Slide Records. Now, a decade later, Santos is at last read to release his debut artist album on that very label.


"Santos was the first artist signed to the label" explains Osnlade. "Since then he has released countless remixes, singles and EPs, as well as introducing artists such as Quetzal Guerrero, Just Felix & Taino Leon to the family. His first ever full length project 'Crossroads' is a testament to his signature afro house, brass filled percussive sound. 

"As a DJ, producer and all around music man, Santos brings a full dose of latin, brazilian, afro cuban styles" he continues. "With a few added touches from AtJazz and Hi-Perspective, the album has a unique charm definite charm and holds a specific level of singularity for Yoruba."
